Techniques and materials

Wet Felting: wool becomes felt when it is subjected to moisture, heat and pressure. The materials I use are dyed sheep wool fibres, soap and water.

Nuno Felting: Nuno technique is layers of wool felted onto a sheer fabric base. I prefer to felt woll fibres with woven materials such as silk or muslin. This gives a thin, drapable fabric that is also strong. I love to incorporate other fibres and surface design elements too, to make a most unique and exciting one-of-a-kind, new fabric.

Sewing: stitching and sewing high quality materials like silk, velvet or brocade by hand or by machine.
